Students for High-Impact Charity (SHIC) has created a free online experimental curriculum that explores the latest questions facing humanity. We strive to level up our impact to the largest scale, and so our curriculum covers world poverty, animal welfare, catastrophic risk (nuclear war, pandemics, and artificial intelligence!)
If you are a student or a teacher, you might like to try our curriculum designed to use with groups on www.shicschools.org. To learn by yourself, continue this online course!
What is Students for High-Impact Charity (SHIC)?
SHIC is about inspiring students to rethink the whole concept of giving. We don’t simply give students the tools to build their own launch pad. We guide the next generation in calibrating for liftoff. Through a novel extracurricular program that invokes a science, technology, engineering and math approach to charity, SHIC helps students craft and refine the necessary tools they need to critically consider their place in the world and seize opportunities to make a heightened prosocial impact. We envision an entire global network of students with the technical ability to thrive in the real world and the vision to make it a better place for others. Our program provides an official curriculum, attentive staff support, career development guidance, and a web-based platform for SHIC clubs to flourish worldwide.
